Our new residents in surgery
We are happy to introduce the postgraduate year 1 residents who joined in August 2013 the residency program in surgery at the University of Verona School of Medicine. Their core practice will be based at the Unit of General Surgery B, and they will mainly follow the activity of Pancreatic Surgery.
The residency in General Surgery is a six-year program. Residents are assigned, according to their preference and to open positions, to tertiary-care units, where they will spend nearly half of their program. During the year they will rotate in other University-based services, such as ICU, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, as well as in other non-University-based surgical services of a regional hospital network.
Our new eight residents, pictured above, are Enrico Marrano, Federico Accordini, Marco Ramera, Marco Miotto, Stefano Andrianello, Alessandra Pulvirenti, Valentina Allegrini, and Isacco Damoli. Many of them moved to Verona from other Universities because of a strong interest in the pancreas and pancreatic surgery. We wish them a profitable residency here in Verona, and a brilliant surgical career.
